Joseph, born in 1568 in Macedonia, renounced worldly life early, seeking monasticism at the age of 12. He became a monk at Partoş Monastery near Timişoara. Despite his humble wishes, he was chosen as Metropolitan of Timişoara. He dedicated himself to pastoral duties, aiding the poor, reconciling people, and spreading the Gospel. Known for his piety and wisdom, Joseph reposed peacefully in 1656, his relics becoming a source of blessings for believers.
