St. Andrew, brother of St. Peter, preached the Gospel far and wide, from the shores of the Black Sea to Greece. In Patras, he faced persecution for converting many to Christianity, including the Roman governor's wife. Condemned to death, he was crucified on an X-shaped cross. From this cross, he continued to preach for two days, urging people to embrace Christ. He died a martyr, forever remembered as the First-Called Apostle, bringing the light of faith to new lands.
