In the year 372, during a time of Christian persecution among the Goths, #Saint Sava refused to partake in pagan sacrifices. A Gothic leader ordered him to eat meat sacrificed to idols as proof he wasn't Christian. Sava declined, declaring his belief in #JesusChrist. Enraged, the leader had him drowned in the river Mousaios. Even in death, Sava's steadfast faith shone brightly, inspiring others to remain true to Christ.
