On this day, we remember Saint Priest Martyr Alexandru of Basarabia!

During the Bolshevik occupation of Bessarabia, Fr. Alexandru fearlessly defended his flock, sheltering them from persecution. He refused to renounce his faith, even when faced with threats of imprisonment and death. He was arrested in 1919 and suffered a martyr's death for Christ. His unwavering courage inspired many to remain steadfast in their beliefs.
