Martyr Nicander, a Roman soldier, was converted by Saint Dasius, and together with Marcian, they fearlessly visited and cared for imprisoned Christians. After comforting and strengthening them, they secretly buried the bodies of those martyred. Their acts of charity and faith were discovered, leading to their arrest. Refusing to renounce Christ, they were subjected to torture, but remained steadfast. In the end, they were beheaded for their unwavering faith.
