St. Hermes, a Roman soldier, embraced Christianity and openly confessed his faith despite facing persecution. He healed a possessed woman, leading many to believe in Christ. Brought before Emperor Aurelian, he refused to renounce his beliefs and was subjected to torture. Miraculously surviving these torments, he converted his torturers. Finally, he was beheaded for his unwavering faith.
