Saint Lup of Stara Zagora, a Roman soldier and servant to Saint Demetrius, witnessed his master's martyrdom in 306 AD. Dipping his garments in Saint Demetrius' blood, Lup received miraculous power, performing healings and destroying idols. He shattered pagan statues with the ring Demetrius had given him, which was also soaked in the martyr's blood. Arrested for his faith and brought before Emperor Maximian, Lup refused to sacrifice to idols and was beheaded.
