Saint Calistrat of Timișeni and Vasiova, in his youth, lived a life of sin and rebellion. One day, while lost in the woods, he encountered a divine vision that transformed his heart. Overwhelmed by repentance, he sought monastic life at Timișeni Monastery. His zeal and dedication led him to become a spiritual guide, attracting many followers. He later established Vasiova Monastery, becoming known for his wisdom and miracles. He fervently protected the Orthodox faith against heresy and schism until his peaceful repose.
