On the 2nd of November, we commemorate the holy Martyr Iuliu Veteranul, a Romanian soldier in the Roman army during Emperor Maximian's reign. Refusing to renounce his Christian faith, Iuliu was subjected to brutal tortures. He was ultimately beheaded in Durostorum (present-day Silistra, Bulgaria) for his unwavering devotion to Christ.
