Venerable #Theodora of #Sihla, once a noblewoman, embraced a life of solitude and prayer in the Carpathian Mountains. After her husband became a monk, she sought refuge in the wilderness, dwelling in a cave near Sihla Monastery. For years, she endured harsh conditions, battling hunger and cold, her only solace being unwavering faith and constant prayer. She received Holy Communion through a monk who brought it to her. The locals saw the hand of God, after she was miraculously covered and protected by stones, from the heavy rain.
