Ilie Lăcătușu, a humble Romanian Orthodox priest, served the poor in Bucharest. After his death in 1978, his grave became a pilgrimage site due to reported miracles. In 1998, his relics were exhumed and found incorrupt, leading to his canonization. He is revered for his compassion and is considered a protector of the vulnerable.
