Born a Roman soldier, #MartyrDassie refused to participate in the pagan festival of Saturnalia when chosen by his troop to represent them. He proclaimed himself a Christian, and for this act of faith, he was martyred during the reign of Emperor Diocletian in the late 3rd century.
