Confessor Sava Brancovici, Metropolitan of Ardeal, stood firm against the encroaching Calvinist influence in 17th-century Transylvania. Despite facing immense pressure, imprisonment, and attempts to force his resignation, he refused to compromise the Orthodox faith. His unwavering commitment led to his eventual deposition and exile, but his courageous stance preserved Orthodoxy for future generations in the region. May his example inspire us to defend truth and goodness against all odds.
