Epictetus, a priest, and Astion, a monk, spread the Gospel near the Danube. Arrested for their faith, they refused to worship idols, confessing Christ as the true God. After imprisonment and torture, they remained steadfast. Thrown back into prison, an angel comforted them, promising eternal joy. The next day, they were beheaded.
