In the year 372, #Sava, a devout Goth, lived in a village near Buzău. When Gothic authorities, under King Athanaric, demanded Christians renounce their faith and eat pagan sacrificial meat, Sava bravely refused. Despite pressure and threats, he stood firm. Villagers, fearing retribution, claimed Sava was not present, but he emerged, declaring, "Let no one lie for me! I am a Christian." He was tortured and drowned in the Musaios River (now Buzău River), becoming a martyr for his unwavering #faith.
