Venerable Dimitrie lived as a humble shepherd near the village of Basarabi. After his death, during a time of plague, his relics were revealed in a stream. Initially, no one could move the stone coffin. But a young, possessed girl named Stoiana was healed when she touched the coffin. She then revealed that Dimitrie desired his relics to be taken to the village. The coffin miraculously became light, and his relics were enshrined in the local church, becoming a source of healing and protection.
