Epictet, a priest, and Astion, his disciple, spread the Gospel in Scythia Minor. Arrested for converting locals, they refused to renounce their faith before the Roman authorities. Astion, of noble birth, boldly declared his allegiance to Christ. Both were tortured and ultimately beheaded for their unwavering belief. Their martyrdom strengthened the Christian community, inspiring others to embrace the faith despite persecution.
