Bishop Theotim of Tomis, a Scythian by birth, lived in the 4th century. Known for his profound humility and love for the poor, he once gave away his episcopal cloak to a freezing beggar. When questioned, he simply said, "I found Him naked and clothed Him." He was also known to personally ransom prisoners from barbarian raiders, selling his own possessions.
