Sava, a #Goth of royal blood, lived when Goths persecuted Christians. He was a cantor in the church. When the Goths sought to offer sacrifices of meat to their idols, pretending to test the Christians, Sava openly refused. He declared, “I am a Christian.” Dragged and tortured, he remained steadfast. Thrown into the river Buzău, he embraced martyrdom in the year 372.
