Venerable Anthony of Iezeru, a shepherd in his youth, was drawn to the monastic life by a divine vision. He sought refuge in the wilderness, finding a cave near the Iezeru River. There, he lived a life of extreme asceticism, battling temptations and praying ceaselessly. Villagers discovered him and beseeched him to be their spiritual guide, leading to the founding of Iezeru Monastery. He guided countless souls to repentance and faith.

O, Venerable Anthony, intercede for us so we may find the same devotion in our hearts and follow Christ's path.
