During the Communist regime in Romania, Father Constantin Sârbu fearlessly ministered to his flock, often facing persecution for his faith. He was arrested and subjected to brutal torture, yet he remained steadfast in his beliefs. Despite the immense pressure to renounce his faith, he refused, choosing instead to endure suffering for Christ. His unwavering commitment to his spiritual duties and his congregation, even in the face of death, inspired many. He was eventually martyred for his faith.
