Donat, a bishop, and Venust, a monk, faced persecution under Emperor Diocletian. Ordered to deny their faith and offer sacrifices to pagan gods, they refused steadfastly. Despite torture and imprisonment, their resolve never wavered. They converted many by their example and miracles. Finally, they were beheaded for their unwavering devotion to Christ.
