Hermes, a Roman soldier, was martyred for his unwavering faith during the reign of Emperor Decius. He refused to renounce Christ, even under torture. They tried to break his spirit with fire, but he remained steadfast. He was then beaten, and ultimately beheaded, but he remained true to his beliefs. May his courage inspire us all! Saint Hermes, pray to God for us, that we may also have strength in our faith and always stand for what is right!
