A humble shepherd, Dimitrie, lived a life of simple piety near the village of Basarabi. After his death, his body was discovered incorrupt, near the river. Many tried to move it, but only two oxen, blessed by God, could transport his relics. His relics were eventually placed in the Metropolitan Cathedral of Bucharest, where they remain to this day, a source of miracles and blessings for the faithful. Venerable Dimitrie, intercede for us!
