Saint Hermes, a Roman soldier, converted to Christianity after witnessing the unwavering faith of Christians facing torture. He openly confessed his belief in Christ, defying Emperor Maximian. Hermes was subjected to brutal tortures, yet he remained steadfast, miraculously healed by divine intervention after each ordeal. He was eventually beheaded for his faith.
