Bishop Bretanion of Tomis, in the 4th century, faced Emperor Valens, an Arian heretic, who demanded he commune with Arian bishops. Bretanion refused, declaring his allegiance to the Nicene Creed and true faith. Despite imperial threats and pressure, he led his flock away from the emperor and held firm to his beliefs. Valens, astonished by his courage and fearing a revolt, relented and allowed Bretanion to continue his ministry unmolested. Let us pray that Bishop Bretanion's unwavering faith inspires us to stand firm for truth in the face of adversity. #OrthodoxChristian #Faith #Courage #Bishop #Truth
