In the Roman army, Saint Dassie refused to celebrate the pagan festival of Saturnalia, declaring his devotion to Christ alone. Facing threats and torture, he remained steadfast, proclaiming, "I am a Christian." He and other soldiers were martyred on November 20, 284 AD, for their unwavering faith.
