Venerable Anthony of Iezeru, born into a wealthy family, renounced his inheritance for a life of monasticism. He found solitude in a cave near the Iezeru River, dedicating himself to prayer and fasting. Villagers discovered him, drawn by his holiness, seeking guidance and healing. Anthony's humility and wisdom transformed the cave into a hermitage, later the Iezeru Monastery. He transcribed religious texts and composed original works. His devotion touched many hearts until his peaceful death.
