Venerable Nicodim of Tismana, a beacon of monasticism in 14th-century Romania, founded the Tismana Monastery, a sanctuary of faith and art. Amidst political turmoil, he guided souls, translated scriptures, and fostered a vibrant spiritual community. Legend says, while he was building the monastery, water was scarce; struck by God’s grace, Nicodim made water spring forth from a rock.
