Venerable Martyr Visarion, born in 1904, was a monk at Lainici Monastery. During the communist regime in Romania, he was arrested for his unwavering faith and resistance to the secular authorities. Subjected to torture and starvation, he remained steadfast in his beliefs, offering spiritual support to fellow prisoners. He reposed in the Lord in 1949, his martyrdom a testament to his devotion.
