Venerable Martyr Visarion, born in 1904, embraced monasticism at Lainici Monastery. During the communist regime, he was arrested in 1948 for opposing the secularization of monastic properties. Subjected to torture and imprisonment, he remained steadfast in his faith. He died in Aiud prison in 1950, a symbol of resistance and devotion.

Holy Martyr Visarion, intercede for us before the throne of God. May your example of unwavering faith inspire us to stand firm in the face of adversity.
