In the region of Scythia, during Emperor Diocletian's reign, Epictetus, a priest, and Astion, a monk, fearlessly spread the Gospel. Arrested for their faith, they refused to sacrifice to idols, confessing Christ. Despite brutal tortures—beatings, iron combs, and molten lead—they remained steadfast, converting many, including a judge. Miraculously healed, they were eventually beheaded.
