Sava, a #Goth, lived in a village under Visigothic rule in what is now Romania. Ordered to eat pagan sacrificial meat to prove loyalty to the Arian king, he refused. He declared, "Anyone who says that he is a Christian, let him come with me!" None dared to follow. Soldiers seized him and drowned him in the Musæus River in 372 AD.
