On August 15, 1714, Prince Constantin Brâncoveanu of Wallachia and his four sons—Constantin, Stephen, Radu, and Mathew—were beheaded in Constantinople after refusing to renounce their Christian faith and convert to Islam. Constantin, the ruler, had maintained a long and prosperous reign through diplomacy and shrewd politics, but his dedication to Christianity ultimately led to his martyrdom. His sons chose to die with him, solidifying their place as saints in the Romanian Orthodox Church, exemplifying unwavering faith in the face of death.

Let us pray to the #MartyrsBrâncoveni that their sacrifice inspires us to remain steadfast in our beliefs and to always choose God above worldly comforts. May their example strengthen our resolve to live a life dedicated to Christ. #OrthodoxSaints #ChristianFaith #RomanianOrthodox #Prayer #HolyMartyrs
