Saint Andrew, brother of #Saint Peter, was fishing on the Sea of Galilee when #Jesus called him to be an apostle. He immediately left his nets and followed Christ, becoming the "First-Called." Andrew preached the Gospel throughout Scythia, modern-day Romania, and Greece. Tradition holds that he was crucified in Patras, Greece, on an X-shaped cross.
