Martyrs Montanus and Maxima, under Emperor Diocletian, bravely faced persecution. Montanus, a priest, and Maxima, a pious woman, refused to renounce their Christian faith. They were brought before the governor, who subjected them to torture, hoping to break their resolve. Despite the pain, they remained steadfast, proclaiming their devotion to Christ. Finally, they were drowned at Sirmium, achieving martyrdom.
