Metropolitan Sava of Ardeal faced persecution for his Orthodox faith under Habsburg rule. Despite threats and imprisonment, he refused to compromise his beliefs, steadfastly defending the Orthodox flock against forced conversions to Catholicism. His unwavering commitment to his spiritual children and to the true faith earned him the title of Confessor. May Confessor Sava, through his prayers, intercede for us, that we too may remain steadfast in our faith, as he did, in the face of adversity.
