Venerable Anthony of Iezeru, in the 17th century, lived as a hermit in a cave near the Iezeru Monastery, Romania. He dedicated himself to prayer and fasting. Villagers sought his spiritual guidance. Anthony, known for humility and wisdom, eventually restored and revitalized the Iezeru Monastery, becoming its abbot. He reposed there, leaving behind writings filled with spiritual insight.

Let us pray to #Saint Anthony, asking him to intercede for us, that we may emulate his devotion and find strength in solitude, and his example will encourage us to seek spiritual renewal in our hearts.
