Niceta, Bishop of Remesiana, tirelessly evangelized the Balkan region in the 4th century. He converted the pagan people of Dacia to Christianity through his persuasive teachings and virtuous example. A key event in his ministry was when he composed the hymn "Te Deum," a powerful expression of praise to God, still sung today in churches worldwide.
