St. Andrew, brother of St. Peter, preached the Gospel far and wide. He traveled to regions including Scythia and Greece, spreading the message of Christ. In Patras, Greece, he healed many through prayer. The Roman governor, Aegeates, angered by Andrew's success and conversion of his own wife, ordered Andrew's crucifixion. Andrew, feeling unworthy to be crucified as his Lord was, requested to be crucified on an X-shaped cross. He preached from the cross for two days until he passed away.

Let us pray to St. Andrew to inspire us to boldly share the Gospel and to remain steadfast in faith amidst adversity.
