St. Martyr Dassie was a Roman soldier who converted to Christianity. During the reign of Emperor Diocletian, known for persecuting Christians, Dassie refused to renounce his faith. He was brought before the emperor and, after boldly professing Christ, was subjected to terrible tortures. Despite the suffering, Dassie remained steadfast. Ultimately, he was martyred for his faith.
