In the village of Brazi, Romania, Theodosie, a humble hermit, lived a life of prayer and fasting. When invading soldiers threatened the villagers' faith, demanding they renounce Christianity, Theodosie stood firm, refusing to deny Christ. Enraged, the soldiers tortured and beheaded him on September 22, 1683. His martyrdom strengthened the villagers' resolve, preserving their Orthodox faith.
