St. Calinic of Cernica, while Bishop of Râmnic, was known for his humility and compassion. During a severe drought, he led the people in fervent prayer and organized processions, carrying the icon of the Mother of God. He urged everyone to repentance and greater faith. Rain miraculously fell, breaking the drought and saving the harvest, which further solidified his reputation for holiness.
