Once, during a particularly harsh winter, St. Paisios and his monks at Neamț Monastery faced severe famine. Their food supplies dwindled, and despair threatened to consume them. Despite the bleak situation, St. Paisios remained steadfast in prayer. One morning, as the monks gathered for the Divine Liturgy, a merchant unexpectedly arrived, his wagons laden with grain and provisions. He explained he'd been divinely prompted to deliver the goods, having felt an overwhelming urge to help the monastery. The timely arrival of the supplies saved the community.
