St. Hermes, a Roman soldier, lived during the reign of Emperor Antoninus. Arrested for his Christian faith, he remained steadfast despite torture. An angel healed him, leading to the conversion of 1,100 witnessing the miracle. Thrown back in prison, he healed a blind man, who then also converted. Hermes was beheaded for his unwavering belief.
