Venerable Dometie, a humble monk of Râmeț Monastery, exemplified boundless mercy. One harsh winter, a starving beggar arrived at the monastery gates, seeking food and shelter. The monastery's provisions were scarce, barely enough for the brethren. Yet, Dometie, witnessing the man's suffering, secretly gave him his own portion of bread and beans. That night, the monastery's food storage was miraculously filled to the brim. The other monks rejoiced, praising God for the sudden abundance. Dometie, however, remained silent, knowing the miracle stemmed from his act of compassion. May we emulate Dometie's selflessness and open our hearts to those in need.

Lord, through the prayers of Venerable Dometie, have mercy on us.
