Hieromartyr Evangelicus, the Bishop of Tomis, fearlessly preached Christ in a time of persecution. During a pagan festival, he disrupted the idolatry, denouncing the false gods. For his boldness, he was arrested, tortured, and ultimately martyred for his unwavering faith. His final act was to pray for the people's salvation as he was being executed.
