Martyr John, a merchant of Trebizond, was slandered for his faith in Belgorod. The unjust judge, a pagan, tortured him relentlessly, demanding he renounce Christ. Yet, John remained steadfast, enduring beatings and being dragged behind a horse. Even after his body was mutilated and beheaded, his face shone with divine grace. When his relics were taken to Suceava, they brought healing to many.
