Martyr Nicandru and Marcian, Roman soldiers, witnessed the unwavering faith of Christians in the face of persecution. Moved by their bravery, they openly confessed their own belief in Christ. They were cruelly tortured and ultimately beheaded for their faith near present-day Histria, Romania, during the reign of Emperor Diocletian. Their courageous stand inspired many.
