Born in Epivat, Thrace, to devout parents, Paraschiva showed compassion from a young age. One day, upon hearing the Gospel read in church—"Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself"—she gave away her garments to a poor woman. This act, repeated, led to her parents' concern, but Paraschiva's devotion only deepened. At age 20, she secretly left home to join a monastery in Heraclea, later moving to Constantinople and then to the Jordanian desert, seeking a life of prayer and asceticism until her death at age 27.

Holy #Paraschiva, pray for us and guide us on the path of selflessness and devotion. May her example inspire us to acts of charity and unwavering #Faith. 🙏 #Saints #OrthodoxChristian #Prayer #Tradition
